Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Audiovisual IT Specialist to join our team.
Audiovisual IT Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support for streaming engine software and equipment, as well as offering Linux OS support. This role involves troubleshooting, maintenance, and configuration of streaming engine software to ensure seamless operation and user satisfaction.
Responsibilities and Duties
▪ Install, configure, and maintain streaming engine software.
▪ Conduct routine inspections and tests of software and its equipment to ensure proper functioning and identify any technical issues.
▪ Troubleshoot and resolve software problems, such as connectivity issues, audio distortions, or display malfunctions.
▪ Collaborate with vendors and other technical personnel to address complex software issues.
▪ Provide technical assistance and training to end-users on the operation and functionality of streaming engine software.
▪ Perform regular software updates, patches, and system upgrades.
▪ Support Linux OS environments, including system administration, troubleshooting, and user support.
▪ Stay updated with emerging streaming engine software and Linux OS technologies, trends, and best practices to ensure efficient system operation and user satisfaction.
▪ Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps to establish a knowledge base and enhance support processes.
▪ Any other duties assigned by the superior.
Requirement
▪ Bachelor's degree in IT/Electronics or equivalent practical experience.
▪ Proven experience in audiovisual technology support and troubleshooting.
▪ Proficient knowledge of any real-time video streaming engine solutions.
▪ Strong understanding of Linux (Ubuntu) operating systems, including system administration and troubleshooting.
▪ Familiarity with network protocols, connectivity, and real-time video streaming integration.
▪ Knowledge with media codec on audio, video like WebRTC (H.264, VP8) or other formats for video streaming will be an added advantage.
▪ Knowledge with hardware setup like HDMI, VGA, DVI, DisplayPort and AV will be an added advantage.
▪ Knowledge with any programming language (C#, Java or etc) will be an added advantage.
▪ Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly.
▪ Strong communication skills to effectively interact with end-users, vendors, and technical personnel.
▪ Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
▪ Detail-oriented approach to documentation and knowledge sharing.
▪ Flexibility to work outside regular business hours for system maintenance and support.
▪ Preferably at least one year of experience in the operation, support and/or installation of any real-time video streaming engine solutions.
